About Tranquil Talks with Kris

Welcome to your sanctuary for real conversations about leadership, communication, and wellbeing. This podcast is designed specifically for introverted leaders who want to communicate with clarity, lead with calm, and protect their energy while doing it all.

If you've ever finished a conversation thinking "that didn't go the way I planned" or avoided an important discussion because you just didn't have the energy, you've found your people. This is your space to explore the realities of work and life as an introverted leader - no judgment, just genuine support and actionable insights.

I'm Kris, your host and fellow introvert, and I believe that better communication doesn't require more energy. It requires the energy we have more strategically. Each week, we'll dive into practical, bite-sized tips and strategies that help you build momentum without burning out.

And a bit about me, your host :)

When I was in Grade 2, a teacher worried I wasn't speaking enough. My Mom's response? "My Kris? She talks nonstop to her stuffed animals at home. Maybe she just needs more time and support to feel comfortable."

That understanding shaped my life. Over a 30-year corporate HR career, I felt the pressure of extroverted workplaces - the push to be louder, faster, always "on". But I also discovered something powerful: when introverts work with their strengths, not against them, they don't just succeed - they thrive.

This podcast is my way of helping fellow introverted leaders find that same freedom.

Along with the work I do at The Leadership Greenhouse and in the Lotus Learning Sanctuary, this podcast is my tribute to, and in honor of, my beautiful Mom and her legacy. She was my earliest role model of quiet leadership and my biggest champion. Mom showed me what sanctuary truly means and made me feel both safe and whole when the world made me feel less than. Mom lived with dementia in her final years and passed away recently, but her wisdom will stay with me forever: "The past is done. The future doesn't belong to us. We just have the present."

Kocham cię, Mamo. Zawsze pozostaniesz moją bohaterką. 🪷🌸

"The one-question reset for when you're overwhelmed" 10 minutes

Ever look at your week and feel like it's just too much? You're not alone - and you don't have to stay stuck in "spinning plates mode."

In this deeply personal episode, I share my own recent experience with overwhelm and introduce you to one simple, powerful question that acts like a reset button for your mind.

You'll also hear real examples from my clients who've used this approach to create micro-boundaries, give themselves permission to pause, and move through their days with more clarity and less chaos. Plus, I'll guide you through reflection prompts to help you identify where you're feeling pulled in too many directions.

This episode is for you if you're ready to stop drowning in your to-do list and start leading from a place of calm intention.
