The one-question reset for when you're overwhelmed
This week I’ve noticed something in my own life (and in conversations with clients): the weight of “too much.” Too many decisions, too many demands, too many directions to move at once.
As introverts, overwhelm can feel even heavier, because we’re processing deeply and holding more internally than others may realize.
But here’s the thing: you don’t need to solve everything at once.
👉 ”What’s the one thing I can do that would make things easier right now?”
That question has helped me breathe again this week. It’s a reset button. It doesn’t make the list shorter, but it helps me focus on what matters most…and let the rest wait.
🌱 Self-coaching promptsÂ
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, here are some questions you can sit with:
- Where in my life or work do I feel most pulled in different directions right now?
- If I chose just one thing to ease today’s load, what would it be?
- What might I give myself permission to set down, just for now?
🪷 One step forward
The next time you feel that “spinning plates” sensation, pause and ask:
What’s the one thing I can do that will ease my path forward?
Then - do that only. Nothing more.
Wishing you an enjoyable and restful weekend.
With care, Kris 🌸
